Te Whiwhinga mahi The opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a Functional Analyst to join our practice on a permanent role will see you join a crossfunctional Value Stream who support and enhance the Universitys Student Recruitment Services from outreach to enrolment and attrition.
Youll be tasked with developing your skills as a Functional Analyst in a tertiary environment spreading your attention across a number of different platforms and services in order to support our Doctoral Candidature Management platform student enrolment and application to study services. Youll work to learn from our seasoned FA in the team and other FAs in the Practice to diagnose system and process issues understand data and reporting requirements triage application problems and provide directcontact support to the Doctoral students their professors and various academic stakeholders across the student recruitment landscape.

Please note this is a full time 37.5 hours/ week) permanent position with a salary range of $85000 $90000 per annum depending on skills & experience.

Product Engineering is made up of five technical Practices each led by a Practice Manager. The PM is responsible for the wellbeing growth and productivity of each person in their Practice. We also ensure our Practices are skilled for and aligned to bestpractice approaches to delivering on each of our customer portfolio roadmaps helping build or support the standards tools and patterns our teams use.
Practice members are allocated into crossfunctional Agile delivery teams with Product Owners across a number of business portfolios. In this role youll be working with other Analysts in your delivery team but not necessarily the whole FA Practice in your daytoday business though theres plenty of opportunity and expectation to jump in on Practice initiatives.

Ideally you will have experience working at a tertiary institution specifically in an IT position. You are curious willing to learn and want to know about how we do the things we do and why. Youre keen to try anything new willing to muck in with the team and are willing to build in your knowledge of the University in new and advanced ways.
Youll have had experience working with relevant business stakeholders to deliver on expectations throughout a planned iteration and are familiar with Agile ways of working. You will have been responsible for providing technical or user support for business process tools in the past ideally within a crossfunctional value stream or project with tasks anywhere from access and permissions through to user training and knowledge creation.

Flexible working is something we take seriously. Our primary office The Foundry is at the Universitys Engineering Campus in Newmarket. This location is designed for activitybased and collaborative working so your team will agree what onsite day/s make sense. For the days where the group doesnt plan to be onsite together its mostly up to you whether you work from home. There is the expectation however that when the team plans to be onsite or theres a Practice/Division event you are present along with the rest of us theres so much to be gained from the incidental conversations we have facetoface.
