Job Description

Job Description: Alpaca Fleece Processor Saddlehill is seeking a skilled and experinced individual to join our team in processing alpaca fleece into beautiful yarn. This is a unique opportunity to work with a luxurious natural fiber and contribute to the creation of highquality handcrafted products. Responsibilities:

  • Sorting and preparing raw alpaca fleece
  • Washing and cleaning the fleece
  • Carding the fleece to align the fibers
  • Spinning the fleece into yarn
  • Plying the yarn for strength and desired texture
  • Skeining the finished yarn

Qualifications:

  • Experience with fiber processing particularly spinning is equired
  • A passion for working with natural fibers and a strong interest in textile crafts
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing highquality yarn
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Flexibility to work on a piecerate basis

Compensation:

  • Competitive piecerate compensation based on the quantity and quality of yarn produced

Location:

  • Saddlehill Cellars 1407 White Horse Rd Voorhees NJ 08043

Hours:

  • Flexible hours to accommodate your schedule
