You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Pathology Laboratory as part of Research Local Delivery Translational Sciences (LDTS) at the Abbvie Irvine site is responsible for developing validating and performing investigative pathologybased methods to help pathologists and other scientists characterize compound induced effects related to target organ injury in animal and human tissue characterize animal models of disease develop target engagement endpoints characterize local drug biodistribution and address key questions that advance drug discovery and development projects. The Pathology Lab Scientist II serves as a subject matter expert to colleagues and project teams to explore how pathologybased techniques may be useful for addressing key project questions. The Pathology lab also performs specialized ocular histology and coordinates with other groups to ensure timely completion of routine histology.
The Pathology Lab is seeking a Pathology Scientist II. As a member of a small team this individual will contribute subject matter expertise in Pathology and coordinate closely with other group members and supervisor to perform immunohistochemistry immunofluorescence image analysis morphometry and related digital imaging tasks. This individual should be comfortable in designing quantitative or semiquantitative histology imaging analysis experiments and documenting interpreting and presenting the results to project teams. This individual should also be a selfstarter who is eager to learn and thrives in a collaborative fast paced environment with a desire to make an impact by interacting closely with scientists from other disciplines and functional areas.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
