Job Description
Industry: General Services
Location: Malta
Basis: Full time
Remuneration: Salary
Main Duties:
- Oversee the design implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure
- Coordinate IT support services incident resolution and ensure timely responses
- Manage a team of IT professionals providing guidance mentoring and support
- Collaborate with external vendors negotiating contracts and manage vendor relationships for procurement of hardware
- Develop and implement strategies to improve IT operations efficiency
- Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems conduct regular audits and stay updated on threats and solutions
- Manage the assigned IT budget and allocate resources effectively monitoring expenditure to ensure cost effectiveness
- Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure data protection
- Ensure that IT operations comply with relevant regulations industry standards and best practices
- Foster effective communication and collaboration between IT and other departments and align IT strategies accordingly
- Any other duties related to the job position that may be required
What skills do you need
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science information technology or related field
- Proficiency in IT infrastructure networking security and cloud technologies
- Good understanding of compliance regulations and best practices in IT
- Relevant certifications in ITIL PMP would be considered an asset
- Industry standard certifications (CompTIA network Security or similar)
- Preferred minimum 2 years proven work experience in a similar role.
- Extensive experience within an IT department working as a support agent or technician along with some management experience
- Experience with system installation configuration and analysis
- Strong decision making leadership & problem solving skills
- Is able to adapt take initiative with a constant customer Focus
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members/management/stakeholders
Eligibility to work in the EU is a must
