About the Opportunity

Yorktown Search Partners is conducting a confidential search on behalf of our client a prestigious boutique professional services firm with a strong focus on legal and advisory services. Our client is seeking a dynamic and resultsdriven Lawyer to join their Transaction Advisory Services team. This role combines business development with the of transactionrelated legal services including mergers and acquisitions (M&A) due diligence and contract negotiation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of generating new business and delivering highquality legal advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development:

    • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients to generate new business opportunities.
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the firms legal advisory services.
    • Represent the firm at industry events conferences and networking functions.

Legal Advisory Services:

    • Lead and manage buyside and sellside M&A engagements including legal due diligence and contract negotiation.
    • Provide clients with strategic legal advice on transaction structures regulatory compliance and risk management.
    • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.

Client Relationship Management:

    • Serve as the primary legal point of contact for clients ensuring exceptional service delivery.
    • Maintain longterm relationships with clients providing ongoing legal support and identifying opportunities for additional services.

Qualifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Ontario.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in legal practice with a focus on transaction advisory services.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business and build client relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and contract drafting.
  • A verifiable and portable book of business is required.
