Job Description
Summary
As a Machine Operator you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive highquality products that meet their specifications. You will be responsible for grinding parts flat and parallel to customerspecified thickness and finish while contributing to team efforts for operating in a safe environment for the timely delivery of quality parts by maximizing first run production of parts to Router requirements.
Job Responsibilities / Duties:
- Determines sequence of operations by studying the router blueprints specifications and work orders.
- Loads the appropriate parts on fixtures to polish parts.
- Prepares machine for production by positioning parts.
- Set and adjust controls.
- Maintains specifications by observing operations detecting defects inspecting parts and adjusting controls.
- Resolves production problems by adjusting controls and process materials to meet specifications. Notifies supervisor for additional resources when necessary.
- Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on a timely basis following manufacturers instructions troubleshooting malfunctions and alerting supervisor of necessity of repairs.
- Meets daily production schedule.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions irregularities and continuing needs.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Contributes to continuous improvement process.
- Other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
Knowledge: Basic reading and math skills (minimum of 8th grade level). GED or High School Diploma required and 1 to 3 years in Manufacturing Experience.
Abilities: Manufacturing Quality Controls and Instrumentation Mechanical Inspection Tools.
Skills: Decision Making Problem Solving Job Knowledge understands copy exact requirements experience with OSHA compliance
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds.
