The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for Equipment Operator II in the Sanitation Department. The incumbent performs skilled work in safely operating frontend loading sanitation equipment and/or overtheroad sanitation tractortrailer equipment either on a commercial sanitation route or between the sanitary landfill and the transfer station. High school or GED plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area plus 2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in the operation of a frontend packer and/or experience in the operation of a tractortrailer tandem and backhoe required. Must possess a valid Oklahoma Class A Commercial Drivers License. Employee must meet City insurance standards. This position is designated as safety/security sensitive and is subject to preemployment reasonable suspicion and random drug and alcohol screening. Starting Salary: $20.5420/hr. w/Benefits.
