Job Description

The Distribution Area Manager provides daily leadership to a department within a Metro eCommerce Center (MEC) environment. They identify and coordinate daily activities for the efficient receipt storage and distribution of merchandise to stores warehouses and online customers. Using behaviorbased coaching and feedback this person works to ensure that the team achieves desired results in productivity teamwork safety and quality. They are responsible for collaborating across departments to create a culture of continuous improvement through employee engagement that supports our company values.

This specific role and location would work from approximately 11AM7PM PST (can vary) but is a midday shift MondayFriday.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides tactical direction for an hourly workforce.
  • Responsible for hiring coaching and performance management of hourly staff in a metro ecommerce center (MEC) environment.
  • Provides direction to team members and coordinators through proper performance planning delegation of assignments and coaching of teams.
  • Partners internally with peers and leadership to meet productivity safety and quality goals. Partners externally to fulfill customer needs.
  • Responsible for the receipt shipment and documentation of all merchandise to store shuttle and/or home locations.
  • Facilitates change and sets goals/objectives for warehouse operations (Inbound Outbound etc. to create an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Establishes and maintains a positive work environment through recognition training and coaching of employees in keeping with Best Buys Values.
  • Actively participates in special projects company initiatives community building events and other leadership duties as apparent or assigned. Planning organization and followup are essential to success.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience in Distribution Operations Warehousing Customer Service related field or Military equivalent
  • 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in Business Military or other fields
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree or higher in Business Logistics or related fields
