Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Detroit Renaissance Detroit MI three times per week at minimum or other frequency dictated by the business.
The Global Payroll and Timekeeping Transformation Analyst plays a critical role in GMs Timekeeping tool upgrade to UKG Pro (legacy Kronos). The role will be engaged in all phases of the program and be responsible for analyzing timekeeping related business processes and designing global solutions. This role will also collaborate with the team to lead change management activities related to the upgrade that maximize the business impact of the upgrade. The role will also perform business functions associated with payroll processing. Applicant should be comfortable exercising a high level of independent judgment in matters of a difficult and involved nature given that this person will be the payroll representative in multifunctional work groups.
Responsibilities:
Lead collaboration sessions with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements to ensure a clear understanding of project objectives.
Consult with business process owners to identify define and document business needs and objectives that will translate into requirements following the global established framework.
Document requirements into user stories for IT to develop
Create and execute test plans to ensure that requirements meet the business needs and function correctly.
Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders business process owners and subject matter experts.
Lead change management related activities that enable the market to successfully adopt the benefits of the upgrade (adoption of best practices
Research benchmark and identify best practices and participate in continuous education to guide the business in the identification of differentiator or competitive advantage processes.
Proactively identify project issues and recommend viable solutions

Required:
Bachelors Degree
3 years of experience with timekeeping or payroll
Interpersonal skills analytical mindset and technical knowledge are critical to success
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of payroll and/or Timekeeping systems and end to end payroll business processes
Ability to work under pressure and balance many projects at one time
Highly developed computer skills especially Microsoft Excel
Ability to lead small project teams and work independently
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and team building skills
Must be willing to travel 10 Domestic International
Preferred Qualifications:
Process mapping and data analytics to develop action plans for problems that are complex in nature
Experience in the development of business process models business requirements/user stories (functional and nonfunctional) and product backlogs
Broad knowledge of timekeeping practices labor relations HR/Payroll
UKG Pro WFM experience or (Kronos Workforce Central or Dimensions)
Network and collaborate withcolleagues third parties and other GMdepartments to achieve desired business results
Keep uptodate on technical and ever changing aspects of payroll and to identify needed process changes in GM systems and business processes
Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and lead change
Extract verify analyze and present data for management decision making
Provide internal and/or external financial analysis and decision support
Ensure compliance with internal controls requirements and compliance regulations
Lead and/or assist with special projects and global initiatives as required
