As a Security Engineer II Cloud and Infrastructure at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity and Tech Controls youare part of an agile team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy predefined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse circumvention and malicious behavior. As an emerging member of the security engineering team you execute basic software solutions through the design development and troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical area while gaining skills and experience to grow within your role.
Job responsibilities
- Executes standard security solutions in accordance with existing playbooks to satisfy security requirements for internal clients (e.g. product platform and application owners)
- Writes secure and highquality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
- Understand the functions of systems engineering systems integrations and system administration roles
- Design and develop production deployments with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches in order to deliver technology solutions for key stakeholders
- Applies specialized tools scanner) to analyzeand correlate incident data toidentify interpret andsummarize probability andimpact of threats whendetermining specificvulnerabilities
- Implement complex business logic in Python Bash PowerShell and other scripting languages
- Engage effectively with third party vendors in communicating and collaborating with a broad range of internal teams
- Supports delivery of continuityrelated awareness training educational activities andexercises
- Adds to team culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on security and software engineering concepts and 2 years of applied experience
- Basic experience developing security engineering solutions
- Demonstrable ability to code in one or more programming or scripting languages (i.e. Python Bash PowerShell etc. for automation and integration tasks
- Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD application resiliency and security
- Cloud native technologies (i.e. AWS infrastructure and security)
- Working knowledge of information andnetwork security IT riskmanagement and architecturalconcepts and patterns
- Experience with cloud engineering deployment engineering devops engineering or equivalent
- Proficient in specialized tools (e.g. vulnerability scanner) used to analyze incident data
- Cloud computing related certifications with an AWS focus (i.e. Certified Solutions Architect DevOps Engineer etc.
