Director Social Strategy

INNOCEAN USA a fullservice ad agency located in sunny Huntington Beach CA is seeking a Director Social Strategy to join our Hyundai team!

We are a hybrid workplace x2 days week inoffice. Candidates MUST be local to SoCal.

Our ideal candidate has8 years experience in organic and paid social media / content strategy on a Fortune 500 brandin an ad agency and/or inhouse . Automotive category experience is a plus.

OVERVIEW

Were on the hunt for a brilliant Director of Social Strategy responsible for setting and maintaining Hyundais social vision for 2025 and beyond. This person must be experienced leading in omnichannel content marketing social media strategy content creation and have the ability to translate emerging social and community trends into an actionable plan.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Social Media Guru: Serve as the lead strategic voice and coach for the social media team for Hyundai.
  • Leading Strategy: Provide strategy and support for Hyundai organic brand and product social campaigns content publishing tentpole activations evergreen campaigns creative briefings for internal teams as well as external media and production partners.
  • Insight Machine: Provide channel and community insights and strategic frameworks for social messaging. Gather research and trends to gain clear polished insights to help inform social and creative strategy. Lead and moderate brainstorm sessions/ideate around program executions/campaigns with entire social team.
  • Super Collaborator: Partner with creative teams data science teams strategic planners brand managers media and production to build effective campaigns ensuring campaigns are on strategy ontime and onbudget. Measure & Report on performance.
  • Brand Voice Champion: Ensure messages are consistent true to the brand voice and appropriate for each channel: TikTok Instagram Threads X Facebook YouTube and emerging channels.
  • ResultsMinded: Partner with analytics team to track our social media performance report on our wins (and losses) and optimize our approach along the way.
  • Client Partner: Author and present to Hyundai clients: social strategy and recommendations including creative briefs channel planning performance results ad hoc POV requests on social landscape new platforms and features competitive automotive social landscapes content calendar and publishing cadence.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8 years experience in organic and paid social media/content strategy in an ad agency environment
  • Automotive category is preferred
  • Experience in customer journey mapping connections planning and comms planning
  • Supervisory/Managerial experience
  • Proven ability to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty while also being able to lead/direct
  • Proven ability to work with collaboratively with internal teams creatives clients partner agencies platform/media partners creators/influencers and research partners
  • Credible expert in influencing/engaging with senior clients and agency leadership
  • Exhibit understanding of online market and social/digital capabilities and opportunities for the Hyundai brand.
  • Proven competence in marketing and communications including brand messaging
  • Excellent writing and editing skills along with the ability to curate compelling graphic imagery. A storyteller.
  • Influencer Marketing Expertise: A strong understanding of influencer marketing and the ability to identify and collaborate with relevant influencers to enhance brand visibility.
  • Experience working with social monitoring/listening and analytics tools.

The salary range for this role is $164000 $170000. Pay is dependent uponseveralfactorsincluding but not limited to: clientexperience training and/or transferable skills.
