Job Description
Torch Technologies is seeking a Network Engineer Principal (Cloud Strategy & Migration) located at Maxwell Air Force BaseGunter Annex in Montgomery AL within the AFLCMC/GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate (BES) to support the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Common Services (CS). ERP Common Services is responsible for establishing integrating and sustaining common engineered infrastructure and services capabilities across the Air Forces ERP applications. ERP CS supports the deployment of the Air Force Integrated Personnel and Pay System (AFIPPSACAT I) Defense Enterprise Accounting Management System (DEAMSACAT I) and Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Initiative (MROiBCAT II). This position supports GBE.
Responsibilities:
This position requires a highly motivated individual with Network Engineer experience. The Network Engineer Principal shall have responsibilities to advise and support work that involves the planning analysis design development testing quality assurance configuration installation implementation integration maintenance and/or management of networked IT systems. Functions required to be performed by individuals in this specialty may include:
- Analyzing and recommending cloud infrastructure requirements;
- Recommending and maintaining network architecture and infrastructure;
- Analyzing network workload;
- Monitoring network capacity and performance;
- Diagnosing and resolving network problems;
- Recommending network backup and recovery procedures; and/or
- Installing testing maintaining upgrading network operating systems software and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies principles and practices in the delivery of network services.
Requirements
Education/Training and Certification:
Advanced Degree (MA/MS) in Computer Science Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 5 years of experience 3 of which must be in the DoD; or
BA/BS Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 7 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed 4 of which must be in the DoD; or
15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications 8 of which must be in the DoD;
Minimum 3 yrs. experience developing deploying or maintaining operational cloud (OCI AWS and/or Azure) environments with an emphasis on federal or DoD systems (GovCloud Cloud1; and
Cloud Certification preferred relevant to position product(s) support.
Qualifications:
- CompTIA Security Certification (or higher)
- Current Secret clearanceRequired.
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Highly desireable
Required Qualifications:
Must hold active DoD Security Clearance (Secret)
8140 Certification; CompTIA Security CE (or higher)
