Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our awardwinning upscale restaurant in beautiful west Michigan. Located in the heart of a bustling downtown our establishment is a destination for locals tourists and food lovers alike.
As Sous Chef youll work alongside our culinary team to craft seasonal menus lead kitchen operations and deliver an unforgettable dining experience. This is an ideal opportunity for a creative detailoriented professional who thrives in an allscratch fastpaced highend culinary environment.
What Youll Do:
- Assist in the daily operations of the kitchen ensuring excellence in food quality presentation and consistency
- Support and inspire a talented culinary team providing leadership mentorship and training
- Help develop innovative seasonal dishes with a focus on locallysourced and sustainable ingredients
- Maintain high standards for cleanliness organization and food safety
What Were Looking For:
- 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Line Cook in a fine dining or upscale restaurant
- A deep love for food creativity and hospitality
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience with inventory ordering and cost control
- Culinary degree or formal training preferred
- Flexibility to work nights weekends and holidays
