This position is for the full academic year open only to enrolled upperclassmen.
Freshmen Should Apply for the Freshman Athletics Team Position to be considered for any Athletics positions.
Purpose of the position: Wash all laundry for the athletic department in a timely and accurate manner
Expected hours of work per week: 1020
Work Location & Hours: Gym Laundry Room; Mon Sat 8am10pm
Qualifications for Position:
- An understanding of how to do laundry
- A working knowledge of how to identify and distinguish various athletic uniforms
- Accuracy and attention to detail are very important
- Must be a current or incoming freshman Covenant Student
- The schedule is flexible but must be available to work morning and evening shifts at least 12 times a week.
Expected Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all the laundry is done each night before the gym is closed
- Ensure that all uniforms that are worn in games are hung up to dry
- Make sure there are pink towels available at all times
- Fold all towels and place them in their assigned locations
- Keep the laundry room organized and clean
- Various tasks assigned by the supervisor
- Night and weekend work may be required
- Closely follow the handbook and complete the checklist
Resume skills development (NACE Competencies required by employers) to be developed

- Communication in the form of documenting inventory and effectively coordinating with team members and coaches.

- Teamwork including collaborating with coaches staff and players to ensure laundry needs are met and assisting teammates in handling highvolume workloads efficiently.
- Technology operating and maintaining washing and drying machines.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
Physical Demands
Sitting: Remaining in the seated position
Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling) 2550 lbs.
Power washing: Uniforms in the spring season must be power washed. Students must be comfortable with operating equipment. Additional training will be provided.
Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to clients or to the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately loudly or quickly
