And then we kept going...
We are looking to hire a Plant Operator for our Daniels medical waste treatment facility in Moncton NB. A Plant Operator has a widely varying role from checking in containers double checking paperwork moving/unloading specific waste containers and operating a forklift to load an autoclave. The ideal Plant Operator is an individual who likes variety in their work and can think through practical problems.
What will your job involve
- Receiving and processing of the various waste streams.
- Scans waste into Route Optics for proper record keeping purposes.
- Maintains the boiler and the autoclave functions to ensure maximum operating efficiency.
- Ensures that all waste is properly processed and/or stored in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Ensures an adequate supply of clean reusable bins and totes are readily available for logistics purposes.
- Washes and ensures quality control of all reusable bins and totes.
- Ensures housekeeping issues e.g. spills cleaned up floor is dry and debris not on floor etc. are addressed immediately.
- Performs additional duties and assists in other areas of the plant operation as directed by Operations Supervisor
What are we looking for
- Someone with a cando attitude who is committed to efficient timely scheduling that has previous experience in a laborintensive job. A person with proven longevity with their employers that we can rely on.
- Occasionally lifting pushing pulling weights of sixty pounds or more
- Class 5 with air Licence
- Minimum of 12 months verifiable related behind the wheel driving experience (within last 36 months);
- Clean CVOR and Drivers Abstract (dated within last 30 days);
- Ability to pass all preemployment requirements such as reference check background check preemployment medical test and a drivers road test or equivalent;
- Ability and knowledge to safely load and properly block brace and secure materials;
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role
