Job Description

We are currently seeking a selfmotivated hardworking MERCHANDISING INTERN. This internship will be throughout the summer and is an inoffice position located at our Headquarters in Hilliard OH. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the right product and right quantity are at the right store at the right time
- Be familiar with the weeks of supply goal for assigned categories to maintain budgeted inventory as well as sales trends and seasonality
- Help maintain store instocks at the companys goal to maximize sales
- Generate purchase orders and revisions as required
- Correspond with vendors through email phone conference calls and vendor meetings to include PO confirmations PO changes/cancellations and tracking
- Provide constant feedback to the Allocator on stock opportunities and obstacles
- Manage secondary forecast system (e.g. D Deck) and work with Allocator to support Primary (A deck) forecasting
- Advertising responsibilities will include ordering products to support ad replenishment bystore breakdown getting the product to the stores on time keying and proofing pricing
- Responsible for administration functions that include vendor setups purchase order management markdowns keying all pricing actions price protection with backup documentation managing the markdown eligibility process deck realignment liaison for DC finance and vendors to resolve discrepancies and helping the stores as needed
- Will support the cost savings initiative by second sourcing through distribution Amazon and the internet
- New store responsibilities will include ordering pullbacks to send to the new store discrepancies and any additional support needed
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelors degree in business with a focus on supply chain or logistics is preferred
- Selfdriven resultsoriented with a positive outlook
- Proactive forwardthinking individual who takes responsibility for themselves and critically assesses their own performance
- Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Able to manage time and workload effectively with minimal supervision
- Excellent communicator both written and verbal
- Computer proficient
