The Anesthesia Technician will be under the general supervision of the Chief of Anesthesia. In addition to routine service areas and duties the incumbent of this position will be responsible for specialty cases such as Transplant Spines and Cardiac including any unusal or complex situations. Additional service areas include but are not limited to: Radiology MRI all preop and PACU facilities. Must posses and understand some medical terminology to interpret physician instruction.
The Anesthesia Technician must be able to use judgement and initiative to recongnize conditions that could have potentially harmful outcomes to patient care. Works independently has ability to make decisions and set priorities with minimal guidance. Responsible for knowledge of and compliance with all applicable infection control health and safety policies and procedures as implemented by the department and/or work unit and UCSF Medical Center. Additionally adherence to departmental policies and procedures including telephone and house standards is required.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $41.35 $51.49 (Hourly Rate).
