Work Location & Hours: Jackson 114 and darkroom hours are variable
Qualifications for Position:
- Background of darkroom from ART 220 Darkroom Photography
- Will be required to read books and manuals related to the use of the equipment silver processes and experimental photography. Both for an understanding of equipments maintenance and use as well as maintaining safety standards in the lab.
- Knowledge of the photo process of picture taking processing of film and developing prints.
- Ability to keep a schedule and complete tasks on time; help prepare the classroom for teaching and student practice
- Responsible problem solver because this job requires a high degree of responsibility in maintaining expensive equipment as well as anticipation of problems and finding solutions to problems.
Expected Duties and Responsibilities
- Cleaning: building and equipment.
- Mixing chemicals
- Organizing and maintaining studio space.
- Assist faculty set up for demonstrations lectures and classes (ie. developing film and prints etc.
Resume skills development (NACE Competencies required by employers) to be developed
- Career & SelfDevelopment including organizing and prioritizing time.
- Communication in the form of email and oral exchange.
- Critical Thinking in the form of creating solutions and being proactive with tasks.

Work Environment
This job operates in a studio lab environment. This role routinely uses standard photography equipment.
