Brief Description of Duties
School of Engineering and Applied sciences (SEAS) at University of the District of Columbia (UDC) is currently in need of a responsible individuals to fill the position of postdoctoral positions for federally funded research and education center. Our newly started Center of Nanotechnology Research and Education (CNRE) seek postdoctoral scholar to assist in multiple center activities. CNRE provide opportunities to work in exciting and high impact research fields such as nanoscale electronics spintronics magnetic materials and solar cells. Successful candidate will be supervised by experienced and internationally renowned faculty advisors. Postdoctoral candidate may have opportunity to work in collaboration with nearby National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and other industrial partners and hence build their network for career advancement. This position is available in Prof. Pawan Tyagis group at UDC.
This position is primarily a temporary/training position in which the incumbent plays a substantive role in planning and conducting research by using quantitative and qualitative methods to collect analyze and report data activities. In collaboration with the Principal Investigator this role will participate in the planning of independent research will analyze and interpret data will publish results will represent the university at conferences and meetings and may develop new theories and methodologies. This position may also help the Principal Investigator to lead and direct the work of lower level research staff. This role performs work under the supervision of experienced researchers.
