Employment type:Full time Fixed term until January 2027

Hours per week: 38

Remuneration: Band 7 salary from $112427.64 per annum plus superannuation and a fortnightly RDO

Location: Werribee based with potential for a hybrid work arrangement

About the role

As Service Lead Community and Sector Engagement you will lead and oversee daytoday operational management of Community Playgroup CALD Outreach Worker and Early Years Community Connectors functions within the Family & Sector Partnerships Unit to increase access and participation in both Council and community services.

This role will play a pivotal part in providing support and leadership to staff within the team strategic leadership across service sectors to increase access and participation in both Council and community services manages financial responsibilities for the teams and ensures the work aligns to Councils strategic goals.

What your day will look like

  • Providing support to community to access and participate in service systems and connect to community
  • Working strategically and collaboratively with key local stakeholders to provide sustainable benefits for the Wyndham community
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to support an integrated familycentred approach to service delivery is achieved
  • Provide effective leadership and supervision to a diverse team to achieve targeted objectives in line with organisational and funding obligations

What you will bring

  • Completion of a degree or graduate diploma in Community Development Early Years or a relevant Human Service with several years of subsequent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying local needs for broad planning and policy development with initiating a policy implementation or service response.
  • Demonstrated experience in the planning leadership management and delivery of childrens and family services.
  • Highly developed interpersonal verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong problemsolving skills
  • Strong experience in financial management business planning and the monitoring of services.
  • Current employee Working with Children Check
