Were hiring on behalf of a highly reputable civil engineering consultancy!
Our client a leading firm in the infrastructure and engineering space is seeking a Resident Engineer with strong roads experience to join their team on a key infrastructure project. The successful candidate will oversee onsite and ensure compliance with design and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Engineers Representative on site.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and relevant standards.
- Coordinate and supervise the contractors work ensuring adherence to safety and environmental guidelines.
- Manage site instructions technical queries and progress reporting.
- Attend regular site meetings and liaise with clients contractors and stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping and quality control documentation.
- Assist in resolving technical issues and provide engineering support onsite.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) with ECSA Essential.
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience with a strong focus on road construction and rehabilitation.
- Proven experience in managing site teams and largescale infrastructure projects.
- Sound knowledge of relevant codes standards and construction contracts (e.g. GCC FIDIC).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
