Job SummarySeeking a candidate with a stable job history and at least one year of experience working in a Manufacturing setting. Please note that this position is working with coil metal that is heavy and can cause injury. It is not packaging widgets in a box or on an assembly line. This position is for a firstshift Packaging Associate 5:45 a.m. 2:45 are an awardwinning service center located in Wixom. We offer a competitive wage along with a multifaceted benefits program after a completed time and DutiesOur Packaging Associates perform the following duties: Build and assemble skids according to customer specifications. Take produced metal coils off the line and package them according to customer requirements. Band skidded items based on customer directives. Placed produced inventory on skids weighed tagged and wrapped utilizing computer software. Produced coiled metal skids will then be prepared for shipping or placed back into and SkillsOur ideal candidate will possess the following skillset or qualifications: Manual dexterity to lift up to 75 pounds. Ability to remain standing for the majority of work hours. Experience operating a forklift and overhead crane. Ability to read and comprehend policy work instructions process control plans. Ability to package products to required customer specifications. Must have basic mathematical skills that include multiplication division of fractions and decimal systems. Ability to write legibly and comprehensively; computer knowledge and experience desired. Able to work in a safe manner. Drugfree workplace.
