Job Description
Seeking Soccer Coaches (The Mousquetaires Program)
Program Overview:
The soccer program at Lyce Franais Rochambeau known as Les Mousquetaires has been active for over 12 years and is an integral part of our schools athletic life. It now comprises 26 teams from Grade 1 (CEP) through Grade 12 (Terminale). Our program is recognized for its diversityboth in player profiles and playing levelswith recreational teams as well as highly competitive teams providing tailored support for all levels.
Training takes place in Bethesda either on our Primary (Maplewood) or Secondary
(Forest Road) campuses. Training takes place yearround and teams participate in leagues
during the fall and spring seasons. Some teams also participate in winter leagues.
Job Description:
As part of the development and growth of our program we are looking for dynamic passionate and committed soccer coaches for the upcoming season.
Responsibilities:
- Coach one or more teams across various levels (from Grade 1 to Grade 12
- Plan and lead training sessions and matches
- Tailor content based on the players levels and needs
- Communicate effectively with players parents school staff and the athletic department
- Attend organizational meetings and internal training sessions as needed
- Serve as a positive leader and supportive educator both on and off the field
Desired Profile:
- At least 1 year of soccer coaching experience (in school club or academic settings)
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational and group management abilities
- Enthusiasm patience and passion for the game and education
- Thorough understanding of game rules and fundamental tactical and technical aspects
- First Aid Certification required (or to be obtained before the season starts)
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate what is expected of them during the childrens exercises.
- Commitment to the educational and sporting values of Lyce Rochambeau.
- Bilingual English/French desired.
