POSITION: Senior Chemistry / Junior Science and/or Math Teacher
APPOINTMENT: 1.0FTE Temporary
DURATION: September 1 2025 to January 27 2026 or earlier return of incumbentper Article C.24.5
Qualifications Required:
- degree in secondary education with a major in Science or Science degree;
- recent successful classroom experience teaching at the secondary level in the subject area(s);
- ability to adapt curriculum programs and instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students;
- ability to model teach and foster social emotional and cultural awareness;
- knowledge of current 21st century pedagogy and assessment practices;
- demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the professional community at the school and district level;
- effective communication interpersonal organizational and classroom management skills;
- ability to integrate technologies and digital citizenship into educational programs; and
- BC Professional Teaching Certificate and current eligibility for Teacher Qualification Service card.
