Your New Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a Senior Midrange Engineer to join our Digital Modernisation Division working in some of the most complex multivendor tech environments alongside a supportive and collaborative team.
This role requires technical expertise in server administration particularly in Unix Linux AIX environments database management and hardware maintenance. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional problemsolving abilities effective communication skills and a commitment to continuous learning. If you are passionate about optimising server and database performance and thrive in a collaborative environment this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact.
More specifically it will include the following:
Handson experience managing and troubleshooting Unixbased operating systems (Linux RHEL AIX Solaris).
Strong understanding of networks protocols (TCP/IP DNS DHCP) and associated tools.
Experience managing and troubleshooting databases including performance tuning in Unix/Linux environments.
Familiarity with enterprise backup solutions (IBM Storage Protect) and storage technologies; IaC tools (Ansible Puppet Chef) experience is highly favourable.
Involved in disaster recovery planning server documentation capacity planning system performance monitoring and mentoring junior team members.
Willingness to participate in an on call roster

What Youll Bring to Make An Impact
You are an experience Midrange Engineer with delivery experience. You are experienced writing high quality technical documentation Excellent stakeholder management. Ability to adapt to new requirements and problem sets.
You hold certifications such as RHCSA or IBM Certified System Administrator AIX. Your technical skills include server administration virtualisation database management and hardware maintenance. You are a proactive problemsolver with strong communication skills and a dedication to continuous learning.

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold a Baseline security clearance.
