Up to 56500 per annum depending on experience

37.5 hours per week

As a nurse registered with the appropriate governing body youll have the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration. Youll also have postregistration experience. Immediate / Advanced Life Support is desirable. Like us you believe in putting people first. Alert focused detailoriented and empathetic youll have a wealth of experience to draw upon.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic motivated and dynamic individual who has undertaken post graduate study in intensive care and mentorship. You will need to have a passion for clinical care while possessing excellent leadership skills to support the team and assist the senior sister with the management of the unit. You will need extensive experience in critical care along with previous experience at a senior level. Youll be an excellent communicator and team worker flexible and motivated. As part of the wider hospital team youll interact with practitioners from other areas because you understand that continuity in patient care is key.


Youll be part of a closeknit multidisciplinary team. And with our consultantled service youll be working directly with some of the best clinical talent around gaining experience with new practices equipment and facilities. These are all maintained to our high standards as we take great pride in our low infection rates and high CQC scores at Nuffield Health.

As our Critical Care Manager you will:

  • Supervise and support clinical support staff and junior staff in the delivery of care providing education training and mentorship to meet development needs.

  • Deliver high quality patient care which is clinically effective evidence based and appropriate.

  • Assess plan implement and evaluate care as part of a collaborative programme.

Our modern hospital is based within a stones throw of the historic City of Oxford a worldrenowned centre of excellence for surgical and medical expertise. We are proud of the wonderful environment and team we have established providing our patients with first class care. We operate 6 well equipped and modern operating theatres with 64 wellpresented ensuite rooms.

We cater for inpatient and day care providing a broad range of surgical specialties and clinics including Paediatrics Oncology Interventional Cardiology & Radiology Orthopaedics Endoscopy Gynaecology Urology Ophthalmology as well as womens and mens health clinics. The hospital is located with excellent transport links by road and rail both to and from London Thames Valley and the Midlands.

The theatre complex at The Manor Hospital consists of 6 main theatres and 2 minor theatres a six bed level 2 PACU and a 6 bed CCU. We have over 350 clinical specialists who offer complex and diverse treatments and have a dedicated Matronled clinical team. We offer the full range of flexible working options including part time working term time working compressed hours and job share. Staff needing to relocate have the option of staying in our staff accommodation for their first six months service.
