DescriptionThe average day of a Production Team Leader is the manage the day to day production priorities of the assigned manufacturing area whilst also balancing the strategic priorities of the area. Such as Quality System Basics Lean Manufacturing implementation & Performance Management of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for adherence to all processes within assigned area(s) including contributing to the development and implementation of new processes and to the continual improvement of existing processes.
- Trains/facilitates the training of team members to defined standard process and ensures ongoing adherence to the standard.
- Responsible for performance management of defined team including but not limited to; Performance appraisals Monthly 1:1 reviews Disciplinary Investigations Disciplinary Hearings.
- Responsible for the development of defined team including but not limited to; Fluke/Fortive supplied training materials recommendation of external courses 1:1 coaching/mentoring cross training across cells.
- To recommend appropriate career band status changes and/or salary increases for team members.
- Assure that proper records and reports are established and maintained for the Cell(s) and results achieved.
- Uses the Daily Management process to manage team performance drive improvement focus and prioritize production support activities.
- Adheres to the Production Team Leader Daily Standard Work.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing would be a benefit
- Experience motivating people driving continuous improvement
- Knowledge of the manufacturing process of Electrical/Visual/Temperature/Pressure test equipment
Personal Skills:
- PC Literacy including Microsoft Office
- A positive cando attitude
- A bias to get the job done
- Wanting to get hands on where required but also enjoys a challenge
