The Strategic Planning Analyst will support universitywide strategic initiatives by providing datadriven insights conducting research and assisting in the development of longterm plans. This role is ideal for a recent graduate currently pursuing an MBA offering opportunities for exposure and participation in higher education strategy organizational change effectiveness and executive decisionmaking.
Required Education
- Bachelors degree in Business Economics Data Analytics Higher Education Administration or a related field.
- Masters in Business Administration or masters progress (preferred).
Required Experience
- One to two years of experience with data analysis use of data tools and project management methodologies
Primary Duties/Essential Functions
- Strategic Analysis & Research
- Gather and analyze data to support strategic decisionmaking.
- Conduct benchmarking studies on peer institutions and industry trends.
- Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of existing strategic initiatives.
- Planning & Implementation Support
- Contribute to the development of strategic plans and reports.
- Facilitate the administrative process of strategic opportunities submitted by the APU community.
- Help track key performance indicators (KPIs) and institutional goals.
- Assist in coordinating crossdepartmental strategy projects.
- AI Integration & DataDriven Innovation
- Utilize AIpowered tools (e.g. Gemini ChatGPT machine learning models predictive analytics) to improve strategic data analysis and reporting.
- Explore and recommend AI applications for enhancing university operations and strategic initiatives.
- Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Prepare presentations and reports for senior leadership.
- Synthesize complex data into clear insights for decisionmakers.
- Support meetings retreats and workshops related to strategic planning.
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief Strategy Officer

Compensation
- Grade 11: $28.53 to $32.81 is the hourly compensation for this role and reflects what Azusa Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications experience and internal equity. In addition to compensation APU offers a competitivebenefits package.
