Your day to day as a Head Start Nurse
As a FullTime Head Start Nurse at Child Advocates of Blair County youll take on a vital role that ensures the health and wellbeing of our young learners! Your responsibilities will include conducting essential hearing and vision screenings crafting individualized child health plans and authorizing medication disbursementall while consistently monitoring our childrens progress. Youll be the goto expert providing ongoing training about medication to enhance team knowledge and safety. In addition to your nursing duties youll collaborate and consult with staff on any medical issues that arise during program hours making sure every child receives the care they deserve. Are you the Head Start Nurse were looking for
To thrive as a FullTime Head Start Nurse at Child Advocates of Blair County youll need a blend of clinical expertise and compassionate engagement. Holding an RN or LPN credential is essential with an RN preferred as your knowledge will guide the safety and health of our little ones. Proficiency in electronic health record systems and child health assessment tools is vital for effective monitoring and documentation.
Strong communication skills will enable you to interact seamlessly with children families and staff fostering a community rooted in teamwork and support. Adaptability is key as youll handle diverse medical concerns that may arise during program hours. Your ability to train others and provide clear insights will ensure that everyone at Child Advocates understands the importance of health and safety.
