Job Description:

Are you ready to play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of sports wagering in Nebraska The Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission is looking for a dynamic and meticulous professional to join our Sportsbook team as a Compliance Representative II. In this exciting position youll be at the forefront of maintaining compliance and enforcing regulations in the rapidly evolving world of sports wagering. From analyzing data and evaluating events to fostering key relationships with industry professionals this opportunity offers a unique blend of responsibility teamwork and innovation. Examples of Work

  • Conducts ongoing reviews of interactive gaming and sports wagering systems activities and games to ensure compliance with NRGC regulations.
  • Identifies and reports all violations assists individuals entering the SelfExclusion Program and monitors adherence to ensure SelfExcluded individuals do not access restricted areas such as gaming floors or sports wagering spaces.
  • Evaluates requests from operators regarding wagers events new leagues and similar matters.
  • Drafts comprehensive reports with recommendations for approval or denial.
  • Monitors wagering systems to ensure registered players are authorized to participate in sports wagering.
  • Serves as a liaison by building strong relationships with casino management casino staff NRGC employees registered vendors and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with the Gaming Compliance Director and Gaming Compliance Supervisor to coordinate activities.
  • Provides backup support for Compliance Representative I duties such as monitoring the gaming floor reviewing surveillance testing slot machines and other compliance activities.
  • Embraces additional responsibilities as needed to support the Commissions evolving needs.


Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in criminal justice accounting or gaming related field and one year of appropriate work experience in the field of compliance in a gaming facility security or surveillance at a technical level; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other: This position requires travel. As such the incumbent must possess a valid drivers license and be able to provide independent authorized transportation and drive a state vehicle as necessary. Regular and reliable attendance is required.

  • Proven accountability in ensuring accuracy transparency and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage records multitask efficiently and uphold compliance requirements.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated precision in reviewing data identifying inconsistencies and ensuring accuracy in reports and documentation.
  • Ability to use evidencebased reasoning to support strategic initiatives and operational efficiency and clearly conveys findings insights and recommendations to stakeholders and team members.
  • Clear and concise communication abilities to articulate ideas outcomes and collaborate with team members.
  • Ability to identify issues analyze root causes and develop effective solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Proficient in using computers and the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Word Excel).
