Job Description Summary
The Wind Fleet Performance Engineer will provide technical engineering solutions to field technicians internal functions including engineering and supply chain and customers. The Wind Fleet Performance Engineer will evaluate the condition of wind turbine blades operating indifferent geographies.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Recommend technical solutions and repairs for wind turbine blade issues that are escalated from field/services team
- Analyse site inspection reports and identify locations of product failure or defect
- Deliver service technicians and customers with timely responses to support site availability and performance targets
- Work with first level support to proactively identify failure trends
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
- 3 Years of experience in Wind turbine Field Services and Engineering.
Desired Characteristics
- Wind turbine industry experience
- Knowledge of or experience working with wind turbine blades
- Background in composite materials
- Attention to detail and able to follow structured work methods
- Strong quality awareness and ability to identify future failures defects and problems
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to learn technology outside of ones specialty
- A strong team player who can work with multicultural teams
- Highly flexible and motivated
- Experience working as a wind turbine blade technician
