Job Description

The Transparency International Secretariat is currently seeking aHead of People & Culture (m/f/d)to lead the People & Culture Team.

In your role asHead of People & Culture you will lead the People & Culture team nurture our culture and inspire our people.

You will strengthen the agility of the People function promote a stronger orientation to our purpose and rely on welldeveloped HR analytics and HR systems to attract and manage talent nurturing an inclusive environment that responds to peoples aspirations and takes care of their wellbeing.

Role Purpose:Lead the People & Culture Team and provide strategic guidance on all aspects of the People function.

Reporting Line:Chief Administrative Officer (CAO)

Salary Band:Salary according to TIS internal salary structure; for this position corresponding to band M1: EURgross per year depending on relevant experience

Contract Duration:Currently we can offer an employment contract limited for a duration of 2 years with the possibility of a permanent contract.

Working Hours:full time 100; 40 hours per week

Location:Transparency International Secretariat (TIS) Berlin

Based in the People & Culture Team and reporting to the CAO you will be a leader with a handson approach a team player with strong interpersonal skills and a strategic and innovative thinker.

The position offers you excellent opportunities to apply your talents to the service of the fight against contribute to the transformation of TI shape the HR agenda for the years to come as well as steer and manage a wide variety of projects.

As Head of People & Culture you will:

  • Lead the HR function including strategy workforce and resource planning people management and progress monitoring
  • Shape the way the Secretariat People & Culture works ensuring the delivery of stateoftheart people management solutions processes and tools with a focus on further digitalisation and analytics
  • Foster active collaboration and partnership across the organisation with the aim of maximizing impact and achieving organisational strategic objectives
  • Manage all other HR areas of responsibility including recruitment learning and development job classification and evaluation compensation and benefits performance management HR budgeting employee relations and employee engagement
  • Foster an inclusive organizational culture that promotes unity and cohesion to stimulate the enthusiasm and innovation of employees around the implementation of our strategy and vision
  • Act as catalyst for change within the team and across the organisation taking into account emerging trends and new technologies
  • Support the implementation of the TIS gender diversity strategy and the leveraging of diversity and inclusion as an organisational asset
  • ProactivelyprovideadvicetotheExecutiveTeam(CEOandCAO)flaggingissuesandprovidinginputfortheir decisions
  • Maintain a strong and successful working relationship with the Works Council (i.e. staffunion)
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legislations (German labour law social insurance law Works Constitution Act accident prevention regulations etc.

Essential:

  • Masters degree or equivalent in management e.g. human resources business administration law economics or public administration
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in human resources
  • Minimum of 5 years leading human resources functions
  • Crossfunctional team leadership: experience in leading and motivating teams of highly qualified members with diverse preferably multinational backgrounds to high levels of performance and engagement as well as a track record in creating environments in which teams are willing and able to innovate
  • Indepth knowledge of German labour law and experience working in the German market
  • Extensive knowledge of the latest trends in the domain of people and culture combined with experience of embedding them into the business
  • Track record of driving innovation for people and culture while maintaining highquality service levels and of leading transformation in the business through change management
  • Passion for working with multilingual and multicultural organisational environments
  • Several years of experience in the field of organisational development and/or change management
  • Proven track record if implementing change processes in a timely and effective manner
  • Advanced (C1 command of English German highly advantageous
