What were looking for:
Gartner Digital Markets Marketing Technologies team is looking for a passionate Software Engineer to work with our highly skilled team located in Austin TX
You will create and deliver stable and reliable services responsible for critical system functions. As an engineer you will work alongside outstanding peers and utilize modern technologies with cutting edge techniques. You will have the opportunity to be mentored by our senior engineers and participate in regular paired programming exercises.
Why youll want to come to work:
Develop and support critical services which deliver outstanding performance across multiple web applications with attention to detail.
Work with technologies like Golang and Kafka and have a foundational understanding of using technologies like Cloud Computing Containers FaaS and both relational and non relational databases to supplement the team.
Develop solutions for features from concept to release; you will help assess the complexity of stories in sprints help break large stories into smaller achievable chunks work with peers to design and develop features help validate the features for release; to experience delivering exceptional solutions to challenging problems.
Collaborate with colleagues across multiple teams troubleshoot issues with a team and participate in paired programming activities.
Follow Agile Development methodologies.
What youll bring to the team:
13 years working as a Junior Software Engineer.
Experience working with containers data streams and functions as a service.
Strong Skills in the understanding of web service technologies.
Strong understanding of concurrent programming
Strong testing skills including unit tests integration tests and to end testing.
Foundational understanding of building governed APIs to scale
A passion for engineering learning and teamwork is a must!
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or other technical degree is a plus.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 74000 USD 113000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range or be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to education training experience professional achievement business need and location. In addition to base salary employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a rolebased uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates. We also offer market leading benefit programs including generous PTO a 401k match up to $7200 per year the opportunity to purchase company stock at a discount and more.
