At Playnetic were hiring a Technical Team Lead to guide a newly formed squad of frontend backend and QA engineers. Youll combine leadership with handson coding to deliver real meaningful features. If youve ever wanted a role where people and code matter equally this is it.
What youll be doing
Youll be the heartbeat of a crossfunctional team shaping how it works and grows from the start. Its a 50:50 mix of leadership and coding to begin with shifting toward 70:30 as the team finds its rhythm.
Lead and support a team of engineers helping them stay focused collaborative and motivated
Partner with product and design to plan and prioritise features that bring real impact
Bring clarity and efficiency to standups sprint planning and delivery
Spot and remove blockers early manage risks and drive team momentum
Set the tone for a culture built on trust feedback and shared ownership
Guide the team on engineering best practices and unblock technical challenges when needed
Youll work closely with our Engineering Manager Joseph and Product Owner Kseniia. The team is brand new and youll play a key role in shaping how it works from day one.
What success looks like
In your first 30 to 90 days you will:
Run focused daily standups and efficient sprint planning sessions ensuring everyone has clear ownership of their work
Lead your team to deliver one major initiative such as a provider integration or the BMS migration with test coverage and solid documentation
Help pick up 50 or more of support issues with the team gaining confidence and independence in solving problems
Longer term well look to you to:
Build a highperforming stable team that consistently delivers highquality features
Foster a culture of learning autonomy and collaboration
Grow the teams technical and personal capabilities through mentoring and guidance
What youll bring
7 years of experience in software engineering with at least 1 to 2 years in a technical leadership role
Experience working with crossfunctional teams in an agile environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to align technical and nontechnical stakeholders
A proactive mindset confident problemsolving and a bias toward action
Background in either frontend or backend engineering (React .NET AWS Kafka SQL are part of our stack)
Bonus if you have
Experience in the iGaming industry or a highgrowth tech company
Previous remote team leadership experience
