We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher with a focus on Resistant Materials to join our friendly and forwardthinking department at a successful state secondary school in Worcestershire. As a DT Teacher specialising in Resistant Materials you will:
Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the possibility of contributing to Key Stage 5.
Deliver engaging practical lessons that cover design processes material knowledge manufacturing techniques and product evaluation.
Promote a safe and wellmanaged workshop environment and guide students in the proper use of tools and equipment.
Support curriculum development and contribute ideas to help keep the subject current inclusive and exciting.
Encourage creativity problemsolving and resilience through handson project work.
Get involved in departmentled extracurricular activities such as STEM clubs design competitions or school exhibitions.
Were seeking a qualified and passionate teacher who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience teaching Resistant Materials or Product Design.
Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for practical projectbased learning.
Can create an inclusive classroom environment that supports a range of abilities and learning styles.
Has good classroom management skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Works collaboratively and is excited to contribute to the continued development of the DT department.
