Healthcare Assistant

The Dermatology Partnership (Everything Skin Cheadle)

This role is based at our Cheadle clinic located in the heart of Cheadle Village Stockport. Youll be joining a wellestablished experienced team dedicated to delivering the latest treatments and services. Our clinic combines cuttingedge technology with a calm welcoming environment to treat a wide range of skin conditionsensuring every patient enjoys a seamless highquality experience.

How youll help us make health happen

As a Healthcare Assistant you will support treatments assist with clinical procedures and provide aftercare instructions to patients. Your responsibilities will include setting up sterile fields managing stock and equipment and ensuring the clinical area is prepared for procedures. You will also play a key role in infection prevention and control maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to health and safety guidelines.

In addition to clinical duties you will be responsible for creating a supportive and caring environment for patients ensuring their journey is seamless and of the highest standard. This includes meeting and greeting patients assisting during consultations and promoting high standards of clinical care.

Duties:

  • Supporting our consultant dermatologists with consultations and surgical assistance in theatre (MOHS Mole/lesion excisions biopsies and shaves)
  • Venesection
  • Wound checks dressing change and stitch removal postsurgery
  • Maintaining infection control standards in line with CQC
  • daily clinic checks
  • Maintaining stock
  • Promoting high standards of clinical care to our patients across the board
  • Ensuring clinical audits policies procedures and medical governance standards

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Good work ethic and hardworking (essential)
  • Care Certificate or higher
  • A real passion for patient care and delivering
  • Good communicator and team player
