JOB OVERVIEW
- Job Title: Physician Assistant Vascular Surgery
- Job Type: Locum Tenens
- Location: Charleston WV (with travel to Hurricane and Beckley)
- Service Setting: Hospital
- Coverage Type: Clinical Only
- Coverage Period: 07/07/2025 6 Months
- Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (occasionally until 5:00 PM once per week)
COVERAGE DATES
- July 7 2025 Tentative start (pending credentialing)
- Ongoing through 6 months from start
- Credentialing estimated to take 45 60 days
PATIENT INFORMATION
- Patient Demographics: Adults Geriatrics
- Rounding: Included
- Phone Consults: Yes (as needed)
- Case Mix: AAA PAD Carotid Artery Disease Renal/Mesenteric/Subclavian Stenosis Dialysis Access Varicose Veins
FACILITY INFORMATION
- Specialty Backup Available: Vascular Surgery
- Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage for Float Pool
- EMR: Cerner
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
- Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

- Credentialing Timeline: 45 60 days
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Rate: TBD
- Travel Lodging and Malpractice Insurance: Covered
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Management
- Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) Treatment
- Carotid Artery Stenosis/Stroke Intervention
- Renal/Mesenteric/Subclavian Artery Stenosis Evaluation
- Dialysis Access Management
- Chronic Venous Insufficiency/Varicose Veins Care
- Optional: Removal of tunneled catheters (preferred)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses: Active West Virginia license (required)
- Board: Board Certified in Vascular Surgery (required)
- DEA: Active DEA Certification (required)
- Certifications: BLS ACLS (required)
- Other Qualifications: Willingness to float between multiple locations
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide vascular surgical care and pre/postop patient management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital settings
- Evaluate and treat a range of vascular conditions as listed
- Float among four CAMC facilities as needed
