Job Description
We re seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper who can think strategically and grow beyond traditional accounting duties. This role offers an exciting blend of financial management and potential expansion into broader administrative responsibilities. You ll work directly with the Managing Director using cuttingedge cloudbased platforms to streamline operations and drive business efficiency. This position offers genuine opportunity for professional growth with increasing responsibilities available for the right candidate who demonstrates initiative and capability.
Responsibilities
- Execute precise weekly bank reconciliations using Xero
- Manage comprehensive debtor and creditor reporting
- Drive accounts receivable processes including invoice creation and followup
- Process monthly payroll and maintain employee expense management
- Prepare detailed profit and loss statements
- Complete quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS)
- Maintain digital receipt management using Dext platform
- Coordinate with team members using Google Workspace
- Opportunity to expand into additional administrative and executive support duties
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in Xero accounting software
- Demonstrated experience with cloudbased tools including Dext and Google Workspace
- Strong understanding of Australian accounting practices and BAS requirements
- Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail
- Growth mindset and willingness to expand beyond traditional bookkeeping duties
- Experience in administrative support roles is advantageous
- Ability to work effectively in Australian business hours
- Strong problemsolving skills and proactive approach to tasks
