Job Description
Our client an Architectural firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee construction projects specifically midrise and highrise buildings. The ideal candidate will have handson experience in a reputable construction company and demonstrate the ability to manage timelines contractors materials and budgets effectively. This position requires a high degree of competence ownership and leadership in the field.
Summary of Responsibilities
Project Planning &
- Develop comprehensive project plans timelines and milestones
- Define scope deliverables and resource needs
- Oversee daytoday site operations and project
Budget & Cost Management
- Monitor project budgets and control expenditures
- Track and approve payments invoices and material procurement
- Ensure costefficiency while maintaining quality standards
Team & Contractor Coordination
- Supervise site engineers foremen and labor teams
- Coordinate activities of subcontractors and suppliers
- Conduct regular site meetings to ensure alignment and progress
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure construction meets architectural and structural specifications
- Conduct site inspections to maintain quality standards
- Ensure compliance with building regulations safety codes and company policies
Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients consultants and regulatory bodies
- Provide regular updates and detailed progress reports
- Address issues or delays proactively and professionally
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans
- Resolve onsite challenges and prevent project delays
- Enforce HSE standards and ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience as a Project Manager or Site Manager in a structured construction company
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering Building Technology Construction Management or related field
- Must have worked on at least one midrise or highrise building project
- Strong leadership organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in project management tools and construction software
- Membership in a recognized professional body (e.g. COREN NSE or NIQS) is an advantage
Preferred Skills
- Handson practical approach to site management
- Ability to multitask and deliver under pressure
- Strong knowledge of HSE protocols and construction regulations
