Summary of Job Duties:
The Senior Application Systems Analyst supports IT EMR Services. Acts independently under general supervision requiring minimal instruction and guidance. Supports system applications primarily Epic Willow Inpatient. Demonstrates high level of proficiency and expertise on software functionality and integration.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Clinical Healthcare Business IT or related field plus three 3 years of IT experience or clinical/operational experience or any combination of the two
- OR Bachelors degree in Clinical Healthcare Business IT or related field plus five 5 years of IT experience or clinical/operational experience or any combination of the two
- OR Associates degree in Clinical Healthcare Business IT or related field plus seven 7 years of experience or clinical/operational experience or any combination of the two
- OR High School diploma plus nine 9 years of IT experience or clinical/operational experience or any combination of the two.
- Required Certification: Epic Willow Inpatient Must currently be certified or obtain within 12 months.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- IT experience plus Clinical or Operational experience.
Additional Information:
- Responsible for building system components testing implementation support and maintenance of assigned system applications.
- Performs indepth analysis trouble shooting data collection and root cause analysis and then identifies and/or implements potential solutions for issues related to the system or usage of it.
- Analyzes/reviews and tests each product release and communicates needed changes to operations. Must be able to document and follow system change control procedures for the system.
- Works closely with other analysts software vendors and operations to ensure that system integrity is maintained and that IT deliverables meet operational business needs.
- Researches analyzes facilitates and implements business and system workflows in order to expedite process improvement and coordinate business practices. Identifies best practices and implements opportunities for standardization.
- Prepares activity and other reports as necessary.
- Provides guidance and mentoring to more junior analysts.
- Attains necessary certifications as applicable in a timely manner according to policy.
- Provides OnCall support for application.
