Job Description

Working title: YVCAC Coordinator

Classification title: Program Manager 1

Reports to: Sr. Director Client Health Services/Nursing

FLSA status: Exempt; Fulltime

Schedule: MondayFriday

Wage Range: $52298 to $70756; depending on number of years of transferrable experience and internal equity

Program Overview:

The Yellowstone Valley Childrens Advocacy Center (YVCAC) is a program of RiverStone Health. The primary function of the YVCAC is to promote a coordinated response to child abuse reports by providing a location where forensic interviews are conducted by trained interviewers and in which partner agencies work together to ensure that children are not further victimized and receive appropriate services. This is a grant funded program which is subject to annual renewal.

Job Summary:

The Coordinator will be the primary forensic interviewer for the YVCAC. Other duties will include coordinating MultiDisciplinary Team (MDT) and peer review meetings and other community resources to meet the needs of the YVCAC. Oversite of the YVCAC Advocate and the daily operations of the center to meet NCA accreditation standards are included in the job.

Essential Functions/Major Duties and Responsibilities:

A. Program Management 40

  • Assess program and client needs and ensure that program objectives are met.

  • Work with community members and other stakeholders to identify necessary programs and services.

  • Identify suggest or implement improvements to programs and services.

  • Plan and oversee outreach activities.

  • Review interpret and monitor compliance to guidelines laws and regulations.

  • Prepare reports.

  • Provide training or technical assistance to partners

B. Programspecific duties 55

  • Provide forensic interviews for clients in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the MultiDisciplinary Team (MDT) that serves the YVCAC.
  • Oversee the management of the forensic interview schedule and notification of MDT members of upcoming interviews.
  • Coordinate the activities of the forensic interviews including operating the equipment creating DVDs of the interviews tracking statistics and attendance and working with the MDT members and nonoffending caregivers.
  • Serves as a point of contact and liaison between the victim and their nonoffending caregivers and the MDT.
  • Create and manage internal files as directed by RiverStone Health and with the guidance of the MDT.
  • Oversees tracking of cases until they reach final adjudication and/or are closed to services.
  • Oversees gathering of statistics on all victims of crime referred to the YVCAC to be used in accreditation and funding source reports and securing other funding means.
  • Provides information needed for monthly billing to CPS and courtesy agencies.
  • Maintain records of forensic interviews including the identity of the forensic interviewer and all who observed.
  • Participate in the OMS study to ensure quality services are being provided by the YVCAC.
  • Assembles and disseminates the monthly MDT meeting agenda.
  • Gather and disseminate the list of cases to be reviewed monthly by the MDT and their partner agencies.
  • Create and store signed confidentiality agreements of the MDT and those participating in case review.
  • Follow up on matters addressed at case review as needed.
  • Attend monthly MDT meetings facilitating the meetings as needed.
  • Manage the forensic interview peer review schedule including notifying forensic interviewers of upcoming sessions and identifying potential interviews to be reviewed.
  • Maintain training files and track training compliance of the forensic interviewers.
  • Serve on the Childrens Alliance of Montana Board of Directors as the representative of the YVCAC as designated.
  • Notify MDT members and forensic interviewers of training opportunities and relevant updates from the Childrens Alliance of Montana National Childrens Alliance and Montana Childrens Sexual Abuse Response Team (MCSART).
  • Establish a presence with and build relationships with CACs statewide.
  • Conduct outreach to the mental health providers in the community to identify providers that are trained and willing to enter interagency agreements with the YVCAC.
  • Prepare and conduct presentations providing community outreach pertaining to mandatory reporting child abuse and the services of the YVCAC.
  • Attend trainings and conferences relevant to the position.
  • Assist YVCAC Director in preparation of agenda for quarterly Advisory Council meetings.
  • Update YVCAC protocols in coordination with MDT as needed to comply with National Childrens Alliance standards.
  • Be familiar with grant applications outcomes and reporting requirements; track activities and compliance for meeting grant objectives.
  • Work with Program Director in fulfilling all requirements of CAC reaccreditation through the National Childrens Alliance.
  • Oversee the duties and work of any volunteers or interns of the YVCAC.
  • Supervise YVCAC Advocate
  • Develops and maintains partnerships with a diverse mix of local organizations groups businesses health providers and individuals from all the geographic communities within the county.
  • Participates in program quality improvement projects.

Education and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Two years of experience in social services or public health field.

  • Any combination of experience and training which provide the equivalent scope of knowledge skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters or bachelors degree in social work or related field.

  • Supervisory Experience

Required Certificates Licenses Registrations:

  • Valid Montana drivers license.

  • On the job training in forensic interviewing

  • Onthejob training emergency preparedness training in ICS 100 200 and 700.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Extended periods of sitting and computer work
  • Some travel is required to attend communitybased meetings
  • Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting seeing and reading signs traffic signals other vehicles etc. Travel occurs in all weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
  • Occasional lifting of >5 lbs
