Details:

The Terminal 5 (T5 Building Construction Manager reports to the T5 Lead Construction Manager and is responsible for managing and coordinating construction activities of the Design/Builder. The T5 Building Construction Manager acts as the liaison for preconstruction and construction activities including leading the safety security and quality for the Program. The Terminal 5 Program covers the full demolition and rebuild of the Terminal 5 headhouse and concourse as well as various enabling scopes to vacate the existing building.

The characteristics of the candidate shall display a solid understanding and experience delivering complex projects within an active operating environment (aviation transportation retail manufacturing etc.. The candidate shall have strong technical construction knowledge paired with effective communication skills.

The T5 Building Construction Manager is responsible for managing the scope cost schedule and operational interfaces of all design and construction related activities for the program. The T5 Building Construction Manager will be focused on schedule certainty budget delivery and making sure that construction work meets the required quality standards while enforcing a strong health safety and environmental culture on the project. The T5 Building Construction Manager will support the development and implementation of design construction testing commissioning turnover plans impacts to the operations ensuring that risk mitigation for construction activities are optimized working and coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring LAWA standards are adhered to.

Details:

Minimum Education Level

Bachelors degree in Construction Managment Engineering and/or other related technical field required.

Professionally licensed Architect and/or Engineer strongly preferred

Masters degree preferred

Optional certifications may include AAAE LEED PE PMP AICP etc. or any other relevant professional licensure and/or certifications

Minimum Years & Experience
10 years or more experience in managing the design of large complex building projects utilities and infrastructure improvements preferably on airport projects

Experience with projects more than $50 million in value

Experience with various delivery methods including DesignBidBuild DesignCMAR and Design/Build

Hourly rate: $85 $90 DOE
