Job Overview

Our Product Experience Design & Innovation org is looking for a Principal Content Designer. In this role you will tap into your passion for storytelling and communicate with our customers throughout the product lifecycle. You will own the development and of product content strategy to support highvisibility initiatives and will be responsible for articulating how the strategy will improve our customer experience. You will deliver highvalue relevant and engaging content that is safe clear accessible and inclusive for all TMobiles customers. As a principal content designer you will guide and mentor others and set the tone for the team.

You will work backwards from user research usability studies and competitive analysis to create the content our customers need. You should be able to work in a fastpaced agile environment and show a bias for action. This role collaborates on planning and with designers product managers and others across teams. As an integral part of our storytelling process youll work on a wide range of tasks from developing frameworks to ensuring consistency across all our platforms to designing information architecture to owning content quality for large areas of the business.

Responsibilities

Work closely with UX Product and Marketing crossfunctional team members to ensure seamless user experiences.

Communicate complex product features and benefits in clear language to help customers understand and use TMobiles products and services.

Be a champion for the customer and work to find the happy medium between business goals and customer needs.

Participate in research and use insights from qualitative and quantitative studies and business analytics to solve customer problems.

Contribute to style guides and help establish language and tone consistency across all platforms.

Guide the development and optimization of content to achieve specific goals and address customer needs.

Use humancentered design methods to design craft and test content solutions that address real customer challenges.

Design content solutions to improve systems overcome technical constraints and reduce content debt.

Identify and champion the most efficient content workflows possible.

Organize existing content create guidelines for future content and ensure that all content aligns across channels.

Audit content to identify strengths and weaknesses in order to optimize content strategy and performance.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in English Communications Journalism Psychology or related field

710 years of experience in UX Content Design

Experience collaborating with internal crossfunctional partners to write edit develop or plan online and retail content

Strong grammar and editing skills

Experience working through ambiguity and executing complex projects

Ability to balance design quality with business and customer needs

At least 18 years of age
Legally authorized to work in the United States

Base Pay Range: $97700 $176300

Corporate Bonus Target: 20

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidates actual pay will be based on various factors such as work location qualifications and experience so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At TMobile employees in regular nontemporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a yearend bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employees eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
