What youll do: Youll directly supervise the training specialist. Youll be responsible for the development of programmatic training curriculum and cultivating a culture of continuous learning and development at the individual teams and organizational level by delivering relevant clinical for coordinating and scheduling required training for preservice training and annual training for all program facilities and maintenance of relevant documentation in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) directives.
Essential Functions:
It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree from a college or university. Each year of experience as described below in excess of the required three 3 years may be substituted for thirty 30 semester hours from an accredited college or university on a yearforyear basis. Current valid licensure as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHSP) or current valid licensure as Qualified Credentialed Counselor (QCC) licensed to conduct counseling in a treatment demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. A valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record. unless waived by management
Post Hire Requirements:
Must successfully complete annual inservice training requirements and pass an annual background check both of which must be approved by TDCJ.
