As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Employee Platforms team you are part of an agile team that works to enhance design and deliver the software components of the firms stateoftheart technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team you execute software solutions through the design development and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product application or system while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.

Job responsibilities

• Executes standard software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting
• Writes secure and highquality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
• Designs develops codes and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
• Gain a deep understanding of each modules functionality and configuration options.
• Regularly update your knowledge with the latest Oracle updates and patches. Core ORC Payroll TLACompensation Benefits:
• Develop and maintain integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud or other middleware.
• Create custom reports and fast formulas to meet business Formula:
• Develop a robust incident management process to quickly identify and resolve issues. Use root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of issues.
• Guides and assists others in the areas of building appropriate level designs and gaining consensus from peers where appropriate.
• Support and maintain the availability of other HR applications (Non HCM) integrated with Oracle HCM.
• Adopt SRE principles such as error budgets blameless postmortems and automation. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team.

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2 years applied experience
• Handson practical experience in system design application development testing and operational stability
• Experience in developing debugging and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
• Good understanding of SQL & database technology
• Good understanding of the following Oracle HCM tools & capabilities. Oracle BI Publisher Oracle OTB Oracle HCM Fast Formula Oracle HCM Extract Oracle HDL PBL Spreadsheet loader
• Design systems with redundancy and failover capabilities to ensure high availability.
• Use load testing and monitoring tools to ensure systems can scale to meet demand.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Develop a robust incident management process to quickly identify and resolve issues.
• Use root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of issues.
• Write clear detailed and effective runbooks to document operational processes and procedures.

Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills

• Familiarity with modern frontend technologies
• Exposure to cloud technologies like AWS Terraform
• Knowledge on Python Web practices and Monitoring tool
