About this position:
The Retail Development Facilitation Specialist is responsible for delivering comprehensive training programs to Retail employees across both credit union retail branches and the contact center. This role ensures that employees are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their positions with a focus on product knowledge member service sales techniques operational procedures and technical skills. The Specialist uses a variety of training methods including classroom sessions virtual training elearning and onthejob training while adapting content delivery to meet diverse learning styles. Additionally this role plays a key role in assessing the effectiveness of training programs customizing content and providing ongoing support and coaching to enhance employee development.
What youll do:
Deliver Training Programs:*Lead training sessions on a range of topics for Retail employees including product knowledge member service skills sales techniques technical skills soft skills and operational procedures. *Utilize various training methods including instructorled sessions virtual training elearning and content recordings to meet diverse learning needs. *Facilitate interactive and engaging learning experiences including handson training roleplaying and group discussions ensuring that all participants understand the material and can apply it effectively in their roles.
Classroom Management: *Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a positive and engaging learning environment. *Set clear expectations build rapport with participants manage behavioral interventions and create organized classroom routines and procedures. *Use conflict resolution and problemsolving techniques to address issues and ensure smooth session flow.
New Hire Onboarding & Ongoing Learning: *Deliver comprehensive onboarding training for new hires to ensure they are prepared for success from day one. *Provide ongoing training for existing employees to refresh their skills and stay updated on new products services and internal processes. *Support career development by offering targeted learning opportunities for skillbuilding leadership development and performance improvement.
Evaluating and Assessing Training Effectiveness: *Conduct pre and posttraining assessments (both visual and verbal) to evaluate learning outcomes and retention. *Gather informal feedback from participants to assess training quality and identify areas for improvement. *Provide feedback to the Retail Development Manager on training effectiveness including suggestions for content or delivery improvements.
Training Material Preparation & Customization: *Prepare and customize training materials presentations and handouts for both inperson and virtual sessions. *Collaborate with the Retail Development Manager and subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate engaging and aligned with organizational goals. *Modify training content to reflect changes in policies procedures or business needs.
Continuous Improvement & Professional Development: *Stay informed about trends and best practices in learning and development especially within the retail banking industry. *Seek opportunities for personal and professional development to enhance training skills and knowledge of the retail banking sector. *Participate in training and feedback sessions with the Retail Development Manager to refine teaching strategies and improve performance.
Team Collaboration & Support: *Collaborate with other trainers the Retail Development Manager and department leaders to ensure consistency and alignment of training initiatives across the organization. *Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues to foster a culture of continuous learning. *Provide coaching and mentoring to employees as needed to reinforce learning and support individual development.
What Youll Bring:
A minimum of one year up to three years of similar or related experience including preparatory experience.
A minimum of one to three years of related experience in training development or a similar role.
Retail experience specific to Lake Michigan Credit Union is preferred including knowledge of banking products and software.
LMCU equivalent of MSR II.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication abilities with the capability to motivate influence and educate diverse groups of employees.
Public Speaking & Facilitation: Excellent public speaking and large group facilitation skills with the ability to engage and manage diverse groups of learners.
Organizational Skills: Detailoriented organized and efficient in planning scheduling and preparing training materials.
Professionalism: Maintains a high level of professionalism in appearance dress and attitude.
Technology Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and experience using virtual classroom tools such as Zoom WebEx and Microsoft Teams.
