Boeing Commercial Airplanes Fabrication Division is seeking a Production Engineering Senior Manager to lead integrated groups of frontline leaders engineers and technical staff for Production Engineering support to Fabrications Manufacturing Business Unit. This is a demanding role that requires technical leadership effective communication at all levels and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects to improve production stability. The position could be based in either Frederickson and/or Auburn Washington.

BCA Fabrication is a dynamic environment operating around the clock at numerous global sites to produce parts for programs all across the Boeing Enterprise including Commercial Airplane Production Defense System Programs Production and Global Services inservice requirements. In this role you will have exposure to all types of products along with manufacturing methods and technologies.

The successful candidate will have prior experience leading Production Engineering skills in a high paced criticalflow production environment with availability to support off shift and react appropriately to rapidly changing demands.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead teams starting with engineering excellence and a commitment to safety quality and integrity.
  • Lead teams to meet commitments to key program stakeholders and stabilize & standardize the production system.
  • Develop teams that can support multiple shifts and overtime to ensure continuous production support to fabrication operations.
  • Use systematic problemsolving to enable building quality products in a safe and burdenfree work environment rate capable and FOD free.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers stakeholders peers and direct reports.
  • Develop and execute integrated departmental plans policies and procedures.
  • Provide input on departmental business and technical strategies goals objectives.
  • Manage budgets and acquire resources for organizational activities.
  • Evaluate new work statement for capability and capacity to support deliverables.
  • Manage develop and motivate employees and front line leaders.
  • Actively engage with Production Engineering Skill teams to support crossteam staffing exercises and develop existing and future frontline leaders.

Basic Qualifications (Preferred Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher in an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology computer science mathematics physics or chemistry.
  • 3 or more years of experience in a management position with direct reports.
  • 3 or more years of experience leading engineering teams in an operations environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3 or more years of experience driving and implementing continuous improvement in a production facing role.
  • 3 or more years of experience building a safety and quality culture.
  • Experience with production build plan ownership including parts/plans/people and asset management (e.g. tooling and equipment)
  • Experience within BCA Fabrication division
  • Experience with One BPS principals and system health measures
  • Experience with developing an organizational talent pipeline
