General Position Summary:
The Atlas Machine Operator is responsible for the operation of assigned packaging equipment while meeting and exceeding all safety quality and efficiency standards. Responsibilities
- Operates complex Atlas slicing equipment with manual controls and basic mechanical adjustments and performs changeovers as required.
- Responsible for setting up the Atlas machines by using standard guidelines.
- Adheres to technical procedures as necessary for the safe operation and care of equipment in order to produce a quality product.
- Ensures that the product meets the customers specifications.
- Communicates quality issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Responsible for the proper and accurate completion of all documentation including but not limited to quality checks downtime reports and setup checklist.
- Performs change out of normal such as cutting blades.
- Follows and completes the daily production schedule including changes that may occur during the course of the shift.
- Responsible for meeting machine efficiency and effectiveness.
- Recording of time and production for job costing.
- Ability to meet daily production standards.
- Performs all required preventative maintenance in accordance to production schedule.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area and machine.
- Observe company work rules and safety regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
