Position Summary

The College of Education at San Diego State University is seeking a strategic solutionsoriented Fiscal and Operations Analyst to support and enhance the Colleges financial and operational leadership. • Strategic Fiscal Oversight: Lead the planning analysis and evaluation of complex budgetary and resource allocation processes ensuring alignment with institutional goals.

• DataDriven Decision Support: Provide highlevel consultative support to college leadership by analyzing financial and operational data to inform strategic decisions.

Position Information

• This is a fulltime 1.0 timebase) benefits eligible permanent/probationary position.
• This position is designated as exempt under FLSA and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
• Standard SDSU work hours are Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. but may vary based on operational needs.
• The individual hired into this role will work on campus at SDSU in San Diego.

Department Summary

The College of Education prepares skilled personnel for positions in teaching administration counseling and other roles in preK12 schools community colleges postsecondary education public agencies and the entrepreneurial sector. We serve urban suburban and rural communities richly diverse in culture language and ability/disability through partnerships designed to improve life outcomes of children youth adults and their families.

The College has one school the School of Teacher Education and six departments: Administration Rehabilitation and Postsecondary Education; Child and Family Development; Counseling and School Psychology; Educational Leadership; Dual Language and English Learner Education; and Special Education. The College has two Independent and one Joint doctoral programs.

There are 79 tenured/tenure track faculty more than 300 lecturers and other part time faculty and 36 management and staff.

We serve over 2200 fulltime equivalent matriculated students. College programs are accredited by national accrediting organizations in teacher education school psychology marriage and family therapy and rehabilitation counseling. The departments of Educational Leadership and Administration Rehabilitation and Postsecondary Education also deliver credential and masters programs through Global Campus via distance technologies. Education and Experience

Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles practices and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelors degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study analysis and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies procedures practices or programs.

Key Qualifications

• Experience supporting administrative operations ideally in an academic or similarly complex organizational setting.
• Experience supporting budget planning and financial management including facultyrelated funding such as Assigned Time Funding (ATF) or similar processes.
• Proficiency using tools like Microsoft Excel and Word or similar software for data tracking and reporting.
• Experience supervising or guiding staff or team members.
• Experience interpreting and applying faculty and staff collective bargaining agreements including rules related to faculty order of hire preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $6916 per month.

Salary placement is determined by the education experience and qualifications the candidate brings to the position internal equity and the hiring departments fiscal resources.
