KyCAD would like to announce a new position in the capacity of Adjunct Lecturer of Studio Art for a sixweek course taking place October 14 2025 November 21 2025 Session 2 (Monday Thursday 1:30pm 5:00pm. This position is open to Internal and External applications.
Position Description:
Under the direction of the Dean/VPAA the Adjunct Lecturer would have the opportunity to instruct STU243: Digital Photography I.
Compensation: $4000 per 3 credit course.
Course Description:
STU243: Digital Photography I
3 credits
This course is an intensive introduction to digital camera operation image exposure negative / flatbed scanning processing workflow nondestructive image processing image manipulation and inkjet printing. Adobe Photoshop and other image processing platforms will be used as conduits for visual expression throughout the semester. Students awareness of the fundamental elements of tone texture light and form through digital practices will be explored. This studio course will additionally include slide lectures demonstrations and critiques. Students will be introduced to the photographic medium and its history. Focus is on the context of digital imaging as it relates to contemporary practice.
